- Sit down on the bench and come to rest
- Place both feet on the ground
- Gently close your eyes and direct your attention to the sounds around you.
- What sounds can you hear nearby?
- Which ones do you notice in the distance?
- Perhaps you recognize a sound — what do you associate it with?
- Carry this sense of mindful awareness with you throughout the rest of your day
