  • Sit down on the bench and come to rest
  • Place both feet on the ground
  • Gently close your eyes and direct your attention to the sounds around you.
    • What sounds can you hear nearby?
    • Which ones do you notice in the distance?
    • Perhaps you recognize a sound — what do you associate it with?
  • Carry this sense of mindful awareness with you throughout the rest of your day
