Trafowiese
Since the end of March 2026, the Trafowiese has been open to the public. During a two-year pilot phase, Trafoplatz is being enhanced with simple measures to create a greener and more inviting public space where a variety of uses and activities can be tested and explored.
Trafoplatz offers a variety of opportunities for relaxation and recreation. One of these is the first «Flow Zone».It invites visitors to pause for a moment, unwind, and recharge their energy. The Flow Zone is designed to promote greater resilience in everyday life and to complement Trafoplatz as a place for relaxation and social interaction.
Catering on the Trafowiese:
A variety of food trucks, as well as coffee and aperitif offerings, invite visitors to linger on the Trafowiese. Information on current offerings and opening hours can be found on the City of Baden’s project page “Trafoplatz Redevelopment.”
Borrow Free Play and Sports Equipment:
The Trafowiese features a BoxUp sports and play equipment station with items available for free loan. Equipment can be borrowed via the BoxUp app and used for up to three hours.
