Beneath your feet lies a history that is millions of years old. The geological trail invites you to discover rock strata, understand how the landscape was formed and experience Baden from a geological perspective.
The Geopath makes geological history visible. At several locations in and around Baden, information boards show how the region was shaped by natural forces. From former lakes to river courses to alpine rock, the path tells of changes that date back a long way. If you walk attentively, you will notice hidden clues in walls, paths and rock formations. Particularly impressive is the cobblestones of Kronengasse, made from rubble from the Limmat Valley. The geological trail is ideal for anyone who wants to discover nature, the city and history in a new and surprising way.
