Chänzeli Tour
The Chänzeli Tour is Baden's most beautiful panoramic hike, offering a combination of nature, exercise and unforgettable views. High above the town, ever-changing vistas unfold, stretching from the vineyards to the distant Alps. Along the route, you can enjoy diverse flora and fauna, idyllic forest paths and cosy fire pits.
The tour is a real highlight thanks to the four viewpoints:
Schartenfels: At an altitude of 470 metres, visitors can enjoy stunning views stretching far across the Limmat Valley and the city.
Geissberg-Chänzeli: also known as 'Hertenstein-Chänzeli', is located at an altitude of 514 metres and offers panoramic views of Baden, Ennetbaden and, on a clear day, the Alps.
Martinsberg-Chänzeli: is located in the middle of the forest at an altitude of 497 metres and offers views of northern Baden, Ennetbaden and the Lägern mountains. The famous 'Schweizer Familie' barbecue area is the perfect place for a picnic.
Ruine Stein: This medieval 11th-century castle, located at 442 metres above sea level, offers arguably the most beautiful panorama of the old town, the vineyards and the Limmat Valley.Die Tour ist stellenweise etwas steil, doch jeder Schritt wird mit einzigartigen Ausblicken belohnt. Wer den Weg geht, erlebt Baden und seine Umgebung von ihrer spektakulärsten Seite.
The tour can be shortened or completed in stages, as desired. Each stage takes approximately 1 hour:
