Museum Langmatt

Museum Langmatt

The Art Nouveau villa Langmatt combines one of the most important private collections of French Impressionism in Europe with the charm of historic living quarters and extensive grounds.

Since 1990, the Langmatt Museum has been a unique addition to the Swiss museum landscape, comprising a villa, collection and gardens. The former home of industrialists Sidney and Jenny Brown-Sulzer houses masterpieces of Impressionism, which were assembled through personal dedication. The presentation in the original living quarters lends the collection a special authenticity and makes a visit a cultural experience of rare intensity. While the museum and park are closed for renovation, digital offerings such as a 360° tour and video portraits keep Langmatt alive.
