The Jivers - Quartet with vocal swing of the 30s/40s, inspired by Mills Brothers & Andrews Sisters. Banjo, tuba, washboard & voices instead of brass. Pure dance music!
The Jivers
A quartet with a clear mission: swing that goes straight to your legs. Deeply rooted in the vocal swing of the 30s and 40s, they are inspired by the Mills Brothers, the Andrews Sisters and the Boswell Sisters - sometimes close to the original, sometimes with their own tongue-in-cheek arrangements. With tuba margarita, banjo, guitar, washboard and snare drum, they conjure up a sound that sounds like good humor and swinging dance legs. Trumpet, clarinet and trombone? They don't need them - their voices take care of that themselves. The Jivers see their music for what it is: dance music for everyone - honest, direct and uncomplicated. Unfortunately, we don't have a dance floor at the Triebguet, but we do have a beautiful wooden floor. And it will be shaking quite a bit this evening.
The concert will only take place in dry weather. All updates in case of changeable weather and general information can be found on our homepage. There are no seat reservations for the show, so come early enough to secure a nice seat.
Our concerts are free and open to all. A collection (bar, card or TWINT) will be made on site.
We rely on the support of our guests so that talented and great artists can perform on the Triebguet stage every summer. We recommend a contribution to the collection of 10 - 20 francs per person. More is always welcome.
